Protective security analysis
The foundation of all protective security work
A protective security analysis identifies what in your organisation needs protection, which threats and vulnerabilities exist and what protective security is therefore required. It is the starting point for the protective security plan, for security classification and for how you prioritise measures.
Northseq carries out the analysis together with you. We draw on your internal knowledge, add an external threat picture and deliver documentation that holds up both under supervision and in daily work.
When is it needed?
- When the organisation conducts or is entering security-sensitive activities
- Ahead of a security-protected procurement
- On major changes to mandate, systems, premises or supply chain
- When the existing analysis is outdated, incomplete or untraceable
- As a recurring review, at least annually
How it works
- 01
Protective values
We map information, operations and assets whose loss could harm national security or your ability to deliver.
- 02
Threat and vulnerability
We assess antagonistic threats, insider risk and vulnerabilities in personnel, physical environment, information systems and suppliers.
- 03
Consequence and class
We evaluate the consequence of disclosure, alteration or unavailability and provide the basis for security classification.
- 04
Measures
We translate the analysis into a prioritised action plan for personnel, physical and information security.
What the analysis must contain
Swedish legislation requires the operator to assess the need for protective security, document the result and keep it current. The documentation must be traceable: what you protect, why, against what and by which measures.
We deliver the analysis in a form that works as an internal governing document and as evidence during supervision or procurement.
From analysis to protective security plan
An analysis that does not lead to action has no effect. We connect the result to a protective security plan with ownership, timeline and follow-up.
Where needed we continue with vetting, training of key personnel and ongoing support as an external security function.
What you get
- A documented analysis with clear method and traceability
- An inventory of protective values and assessed consequence levels
- A threat and vulnerability picture specific to your organisation
- A basis for security classes and personnel vetting
- A prioritised action plan and draft protective security plan
Part of Analysis
